Toronto's Corona Jewellery Co. is one of the latest companies to be certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). "We are very proud to be a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council," said Corona's divisional manager, Michael Minister. "The broad scope of the Code of Practices (COP) completely captures the best model of our industry and how we need to operate in the 21st century." RJC is an international not-for-profit organization of more than 340 member companies across the jewellery supply chain from mine to retail. Its members must submit to third-party auditing to verify conformance to its COPs. RJC certifies companies producing goods using gold, diamonds, and platinum group metals. "RJC is delighted to congratulate Corona Jewellery Co. on its certification," said RJC chief executive officer (CEO), Michael Rae. "The successful verification assessment was conducted by Michael Armstrong from KPMG Performance Registrar, one of the independent third-party auditing firms accredited to the RJC's member certification system."
