Chris Ploof Designs joins IJO as vendor
Award-winning designer brings hand-forged ‘modern metals’ to IJO’s exclusive network.

Chris Ploof, owner and designer of Chris Ploof Designs, has been selected as a vendor for the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO).
The announcement comes ahead of the holiday selling season. Ploof’s work will be introduced to IJO members through the fourth quarter and featured in the buying room at the February 2026 IJO event in Colorado Springs.
As part of the membership, Ploof will receive marketing support from IJO through its website, newsletters and Supplier Spotlight publication. The partnership also provides access to more than 850 vetted members across the United States.
“I am honoured to be selected as the newest IJO vendor,” Ploof said. “This is our first time joining a buying group, and we look forward to the many new connections we will make. Our hand-forged work in what I call ‘modern metals,’ such as Damascus steel, mokume gane and meteorite, deserves a wider audience.”
Ploof said his designs are gender-neutral and produced with sustainable practices in a solar-powered Massachusetts studio.

IJO accepts jewellers who meet high ethical standards and professional integrity. The organization offers marketing and educational opportunities to members worldwide.
“We are absolutely delighted that Chris and his team have joined IJO, creating a new home for his distinctive, hand-forged patterned metals,” said Sam Larson, director of vendor partnerships and merchandise strategy for IJO. “Strong partnerships drive everything we do, and welcoming Chris into our community reinforces our mission to grow stronger together through education, innovation and an unwavering dedication to elevating the integrity of the jewellery industry.”
