Shocking daylight jewellery heist in Calgary

Calgary’s Dalhousie area was the scene of a brazen jewellery store robbery. At about 1:40 p.m. on Jan. 8, chaos erupted at Shimoon Jewellers, located in the bustling Dalhousie Station Shopping Centre.

Five masked suspects, clad in hoodies, waited patiently outside for a customer to exit before storming in with hammers. Within seconds, they shattered display cases, grabbing over $100,000 worth of jewellery. All of this unfolded in less than two minutes.

Witnesses were left in disbelief as a chilling video surfaced on social media, capturing the sound of glass shattering just moments before the suspects fled the scene in a stolen Ford F-150.

With the vehicle’s license plate number (CLH 2619) now in police hands, the hunt for these masked bandits is underway.

No injuries were reported.

While one person sustained minor injuries, they did not require hospitalization.
