Police are investigating a robbery at a retail jewellery store in Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, an enclosed mall in Edmonton. Four masked suspects entered the store at about 3:18 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, smashed display cases and stole jewellery. Per CityNews Edmonton, loss is estimated at about $250,000.
Suspects flee after failed safe theft at jewellery store
Police are investigating a burglary at a retail jewellery store in a commercial strip plaza in Pickering, Ont., late Sunday, May 3. An unknown number of suspects entered through the rear door at about 10:50 p.m. and may have tried to remove the store’s safe but appeared to have abandoned the effort when they were unable to move it.
Investigators found no signs that the safe had been forced open, and no jewellery was reported stolen. Minor damage to equipment was reported. The store’s alarm was triggered, and police arrived shortly afterward.

Multiple jewellery businesses targeted in GTA crime wave
