At approximately 1 a.m., two individuals wearing motorcycle helmets forced entry into the store, located within a retail strip mall, using a crowbar to breach the front door. The intrusion activated the alarm system.

The suspects smashed display cases containing jewellery and remained inside for about two minutes before leaving in a dark-coloured sedan. In addition to the stolen merchandise, the incident reportedly resulted in damage to glass fixtures and equipment.

Mall break-in in Calgary

A jewellery retailer located in Chinook Mall in Calgary, Alta., was reportedly the victim of a break-in on June 8, 2026.

At 10:12 p.m., an unknown individual—possibly female—entered the store through a rear door and allegedly forced open a security cage used to secure inventory. An undisclosed quantity of jewellery was removed before the individual left the premises, roughly 10 minutes later.
