Armed robbery at Brantford Mall

An armed robbery was reported at a jewellery retailer located within Lynden Park Mall in Brantford, Ont., at approximately 9:25 a.m. on May 30, 2026.

According to the report, a lone male carrying a firearm allegedly stole an undisclosed quantity of jewellery and cash before fleeing the scene. Police are investigating the incident. Further details, including a suspect description and photograph, were published by The Brantford Expositor.

Grab-and-run theft in Newmarket

A grab-and-run theft was reported at a jewellery retailer in Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ont., at approximately 2:45 p.m. on June 1, 2026.

In this incident, an individual was shown a gold chain for examination and allegedly fled the premises after taking possession of the item. No additional details regarding the suspect or the value of the loss are available.

Loss and damage in Fonthill

A jewellery retailer in Fonthill, Ont., was reportedly targeted in a break-in during the early hours of June 8, 2026.

At approximately 1 a.m., two individuals wearing motorcycle helmets forced entry into the store, located within a retail strip mall, using a crowbar to breach the front door. The intrusion activated the alarm system.

The suspects smashed display cases containing jewellery and remained inside for about two minutes before leaving in a dark-coloured sedan. In addition to the stolen merchandise, the incident reportedly resulted in damage to glass fixtures and equipment.

Mall break-in in Calgary

A jewellery retailer located in Chinook Mall in Calgary, Alta., was reportedly the victim of a break-in on June 8, 2026.

At 10:12 p.m., an unknown individual—possibly female—entered the store through a rear door and allegedly forced open a security cage used to secure inventory. An undisclosed quantity of jewellery was removed before the individual left the premises, roughly 10 minutes later.

Police attended the scene and are continuing their investigation. The value of the stolen merchandise has not been disclosed.
