IcecapAI announced the public launch of Sherpa on August 18, an AI salesperson built specifically for jewellery retailers. Unlike standard website chatbots, Sherpa educates shoppers, recommends products, addresses sales objections, and guides customers through the buying process in more than 220 languages, 24 hours a day. The company said Sherpa’s Level 1 service is free, letting any jewellery retailer add an AI salesperson to its website at no cost.

Sherpa can answer questions on diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, engagement rings, watches, jewellery care, financing, and store policies, while adapting to each retailer’s products and communication style. It also captures customer questions, summarizes conversations, and flags sales opportunities for staff.
