Expo Prestige draws more than 1,000 to Montreal’s Old Port

More than 1,000 attendees from Canada and abroad attended Expo Prestige 2026, held August 23 and 24 at the Port of Montreal—Grand Quay in the city’s Old Port.

This year marked the first edition organized by the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA), which took over as the official organizer of the long-running Quebec trade show.

The show floor featured 50 exhibitors. Alongside returning exhibitors, the event introduced the Design Pavilion, sponsored by Misfit Diamonds—a new addition featuring seven Canadian jewellery designers, several of whom were showing their collections at a trade show for the first time.

Attendees had access to espresso bars sponsored by Tech-Emotion Inc. and snack bars sponsored by Jewelers Mutual throughout the day. Lunch was served by local food trucks, with seating along the waterfront. In the afternoon, Stygvir Inc. and Jewelers Mutual sponsored a gelato station. Day one closed with the Sip & Shop Experience, sponsored by Citizen Watch Canada, offering prosecco and espresso martinis while attendees continued browsing exhibitor booths.

One exhibitor said of the event that the quality of attendees created strong networking opportunities and business connections.

The CJA, which has represented the Canadian jewellery and watch industry since 1918, said it plans to continue building on the show’s history as it takes over its operation going forward. “The organization, professionalism, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere were truly outstanding. What impressed us most was the quality of the attendees and the incredible opportunities to connect with industry professionals, build meaningful relationships, and showcase our brand in such a positive environment. The energy throughout the event was fantastic, and we felt genuinely supported as exhibitors. It was more than just a trade show—it was an experience that created real connections and opened the door to exciting new opportunities.”
