Instappraise has announced a new system integration with Jewelers Mutual Group that connects the jewellery appraisal process with insurance quoting.

The integration links Instappraise’s cloud-based appraisal platform with Jewelers Mutual’s insurance platform, allowing jewellery professionals to offer clients a personal jewellery insurance quote when an appraisal is completed.

The integration is currently available through an early-access program for select Instappraise users. When an appraiser or retailer finalizes an appraisal document, they can request an insurance quote through Jewelers Mutual using the valuation information already entered into the system. Jewelers Mutual then emails the personalized quote directly to the client, who can purchase a policy through the provided process.

The companies say the integration enhances the customer experience, reduces duplicate data entry and the potential for errors, and closes the care loop by connecting appraisal and insurance steps that have traditionally been handled separately.

“Our goal at Instappraise has always been to leverage technology to modernize the appraisal workflow and add measurable value to the jewellery professional’s business,” says Raphael Boivin, founder of Instappraise. Mike Alexander, president of Jewelers Mutual, stated the integration makes protecting jewellery simple, adding, “By connecting the appraisal process with a seamless path to jewellery insurance protection, we’re making it easier for consumers to protect the pieces that matter most to them right at the moment it’s most relevant.”

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Calgary, Alta., Instappraise provides cloud-based appraisal software for retail jewellers, independent appraisers, and gemmologists. The platform supports valuation workflows, integrations with gemmological laboratories, and the production of branded appraisal documents.
