Jewellers Vigilance Canada (JVC) will bring jewellery professionals, police, and security specialists together in Aurora, Ont., on October 13 for its fourth annual JVC Security Summit. The in-person event will focus on current crime, cybersecurity, fraud, and asset-protection issues affecting jewellery businesses.

The summit will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the York Regional Police Association. Registration is complimentary, with support from Jewelers Mutual, and breakfast and lunch are included.

The education program features five sessions covering different aspects of jewellery security:

• Andrew Kirsch of Kirsch Group will present “Digital Defence: Tackling Today’s Cyber Threats.”

• York Regional Police will lead “JCSI: Inside Jewellery Crime Investigations.”

• Amber Scott of Outlier Solutions Inc. will address “Financial Crime, Fraud, Friction and FINTRAC.”

• Jewelers Mutual will present “Fortifying Your Future: Proactive Asset Protection.”

• An expert panel will discuss “Bridging the Gap: The Reality of Preventing Jewellery Crime Today.”

According to JVC, the 2026 program is intended to provide current information on crime and security topics relevant to jewellery businesses. The organization’s mandate includes advancing loss prevention within Canada’s jewellery and watch industry and providing security education and training. The summit is open to jewellery professionals and offers an opportunity to hear directly from police and security experts.

Complimentary registration is available through the Canadian Jewellers Association event page.
