Sister companies merge under Swissmar Ltd.

SB_50801_AlpineSwissRallye_ — Watch and knife company Swiss Peak has merged with its sister company, Swissmar Imports.

Swiss Peak and Swissmar Imports are now one and will operate under a new name—Swissmar Ltd.

Under the agreement, Swiss Peak’s Wenger, The Genuine Swiss Army Knife and Swiss Military Watches become fully supported product lines of Swissmar Ltd.

“These brands have a long history with Canadians and it is our commitment to continue to support and grow this important area of our business within this new structure,” Swiss Peak said in a news release.

“The main impact of this decision will be on our internal operations, allowing us to leverage efficiencies wherever possible and will not affect [customers’] day-to-day dealings with our company.”

Swissmar Imports is a distributor of European housewares and cookware. The deal became effective in April.
