Canadian jewellery atelier highlights women designers ahead of March 8
Female-led studio highlights signature collections and Canadian talent

As International Women’s Day approaches on March 8, Canadian jewellery designer Anne Sportun is marking the occasion by highlighting the women who create, lead, and inspire within the country’s design community.
Sportun has spent more than 35 years shaping the landscape of fine jewellery in Canada with collections described as both timeless and personal.
The brand is now helmed by Sportun and her daughter, Haley Woodbury, who serves as co-owner. Together, they lead a multi-generational, female-run atelier rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and community.

The pair design and handcraft the studio’s signature jewellery, which ranges from modern heirloom pieces for everyday wear to bridal and bespoke creations. According to the company, each item is produced with attention to high-quality materials, time-honoured techniques, and a consistent focus on artistry.
In addition to their own work, Sportun and Woodbury support independent Canadian designers through curated in-store offerings. Their selections feature several established female designers, including Anzie, Johanna Brierly, Leah Alexandra, and Pyrrha.
Woodbury has also created pieces in support of The Love Club, a female-founded charity established by Lauren Walker Lee. Her Love Club Bracelet and Heart Studs are positioned as extensions of the brand’s commitment to community engagement and women supporting women.
The studio says its overall collection spans a wide range of styles, stories, and price points, unified by a focus on intention and craftsmanship.
