Crime Report—December 1, 2025

Incident 1: On Monday, November 17, at around 5:20 p.m., a jewellery store in the Cambridge Centre Mall was targeted by five individuals. Police were called after security reported a stolen vehicle related to earlier robberies. Upon arrival, officers found the suspects, armed with handguns and sledgehammers, actively robbing the store. The officers engaged the suspects, leading to their arrest, and recovered two loaded 9mm handguns. Authorities believe that these suspects may be connected to at least two other attempted robberies in Cambridge, one of which took place at Conestoga Mall.
Incident 2: A retail jewellery store in Ancaster was burglarized around 4 a.m. on Sunday, November 16. Four individuals wearing masks and hazmat suits forced open display cases containing jewellery that had been left out, and then quickly fled the scene. There were no reports of attempts to break into safes or vaults during this incident.
Incident 3: An attempted robbery at a jewellery store in Milton took place around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 13. The jeweller noticed three masked individuals dressed in black who appeared to be planning the heist about twenty minutes before it occurred. The trio tried to smash the glass exterior with hammers but was unsuccessful and left the scene within a minute. The police responded swiftly and arrived shortly after the incident was reported. Aside from the broken glass, no other losses or damages were reported.
Incident 4: Around 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, a Stratford jewellery store was robbed for the fifth time in less than two years. Three suspects armed with sledgehammers smashed display cases and stole jewellery before fleeing in a stolen grey Honda Civic. The suspects wore masks and dark clothing, and their identities remain unknown. This frequent target in Stratford Mall has become a quick escape route for thieves since January 2024.
