Waterloo regional police say a customer suffered minor injuries after three suspects armed with blunt instruments robbed a jewellery store in Kitchener, Ont. 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 28.
Investigators say three males, all wearing hoodies, entered the store near Fischer‑Hallman Road and Highland Road West, used hammers to smash open display cases, and stole jewellery. The value of the loss is not known.
Police say the suspects fled in a getaway vehicle waiting in the parking lot.
The injured customer did not require hospital treatment.
Burglars remove safe through wall in late‑night Toronto break‑in
A jewellery business in northwest Toronto was burglarized shortly after midnight on Monday, March 2, after intruders entered an adjacent unit, broke through a shared wall, and removed a safe containing an unknown amount of jewellery.
The burglary happened in the area of Islington Avenue and Albion Road. The alarm was triggered, and both the owner and police responded soon afterward.
The number of suspects is not known, and no further details have been released.

Mall security stops alleged robbery at Oakville jewellery store
On Friday, February 27, around 6 p.m., police arrested four males who were reportedly about to rob a retail jewellery store located in Oakville Place, an enclosed retail mall in Oakville, Ont.
Halton police said the suspects, who entered the mall on Leighland Avenue near Trafalgar Road, were dressed in dark clothing, wearing masks and gloves, and were intercepted by mall security, who believed a robbery was imminent.
Officers located the suspects on foot a short distance away and recovered hammers, a machete, and other items investigators allege were intended for breaking and entering.
Police have charged the four males, including three youths and one 18-year-old.

Waterloo regional police say the group entered the store, smashed display cases, and stole jewellery before fleeing. The value of the loss is not yet known.
The suspects reportedly ran from the mall and left the area in a black sedan that headed south on Davenport Road.
All four suspects were described as male. Two were reported to have small builds and were wearing black hoodies. A third suspect, described as having a medium build, was also wearing a black hoodie. The fourth, who police say had a large build, was wearing a camo jacket.
