Diamonds of Detroit has been named a finalist in the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce’s Achievement in Business Excellence (ABEX) Awards.

The news is doubly exciting for the company, as it received a nomination in not one, but two categories: one for marketing and the other for service.

“We are thrilled and honoured to be recognized as finalists in two ABEX categories, especially as ABEX celebrates its 30th anniversary,” said Diamonds of Detroit president, Michelle Bankowski.

“Our successful marketing and Diamonds of Detroit’s signature brand development using social media are the main reasons we are a finalist in the marketing category. Our motto ‘Quality comes in a Burgundy Box’ is synonymous with the Diamonds of Detroit brand, enhancing our promise to customers that in every burgundy box is our promise of quality, true value, and excellent customer service. In our 28 years of business, delivering exceptional customer service has been the hallmark of our success. Our team of committed and motivated professionals is determined to deliver the best.”

Winners will be announced at a gala event on Oct. 26. ABEX is open to any private-sector business registered within the province, regardless of size, location, or industry.

An adjudication panel chose 54 businesses from a list of nominees to compete in 10 ABEX categories that also included community involvement, aboriginal business partnership, and growth and expansion.

“We were very pleased by the quality, number, and wide range of nominees for this year’s awards,” said Steve McLellan, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce.

“Saskatchewan’s entrepreneurial spirit is going to shine very brightly on Oct. 26; ABEX will be showcasing strong, innovative, and high-quality businesses, and the contribution they continue to make to our vibrant economy.”
