Jewelers Mutual Group has acquired CJB Insurance Services, a Canadian brokerage specializing in insurance for the jewellery industry, expanding its presence in the Canadian market.

CJB has provided jewellers block insurance in Canada for more than 25 years. Following the acquisition, its customers will continue to receive the same insurance coverage and service while gaining access to Jewelers Mutual Group’s wider range of insurance products, business services, and technology solutions.

Mike Alexander, president of Jewelers Mutual Group, said the acquisition “empowers us to leverage our combined expertise to expand our presence and commitment in Canada,” and combines the expertise of both organizations to support jewellers and their businesses better.

Meredith Thomas of CJB Insurance Services said joining Jewelers Mutual Group will allow the brokerage to offer customers additional products and services “while preserving the trusted service and relationships they value.”

The companies said integration work is already underway, with both organizations focused on ensuring a smooth transition for customers and maintaining uninterrupted service.
