Toronto jewellery studio ATTIC is marking its tenth year in business with a series of new releases and collaborations. The company began its anniversary year in May by adding seven pieces to its Canadian-made New Classics line. Over the coming months, co-founders Melissa Gobeil and Susan Shaw plan to introduce additional designs, including ten custom-cut Canadian diamond rings. In addition, ATTIC has received a Canadian Jewellery Association Independent Retailer of the Year Award nomination.

ATTIC, established in 2015, focuses on engagement rings, wedding bands, and other solid-gold jewellery made in Toronto. Its New Classics line consists of simple, versatile pieces intended to be worn individually or layered together. Recent additions include a necklace featuring a Canadian baguette diamond and a handmade gold chain produced from recycled material.

A major release is scheduled for October 2025, when ATTIC will present a limited anniversary collection in partnership with Misfit Diamonds. The collection will feature Canadian diamonds cut from rough stones selected by Gobeil and Shaw. The diamonds, in light champagne tones, will be shaped into antique-style cuts such as heart, moval, and pear, then set in contemporary designs created to highlight the character of each stone.

All of ATTIC’s jewellery is produced locally using solid gold, with recycled gold incorporated whenever feasible, and stones sourced to meet conflict-free standards. In addition to developing new collections, the studio continues to offer custom jewellery services, working with clients both in person at its recently renovated Toronto studio and remotely.
